A Passion Project

The duo is a passion-project by Marius Kolbenstvedt and Merete Mongstad, who met at an experimental theatre school in Denmark in their early youth.

Marius has since been working as an actor, director and musician in theatre and movies; Merete as a music producer and sound designer for movies, theatre and arts.

Marius has played with bands like “White Birch” and «Salvatore», Merete from Kyed, S. M. Mongstad, Jodeladies (DK) and Children And Corps Playing In The Streets (N).

Kyed is on the soundtrack of cult motion picture Pusher etc.

The duo has worked together over the years on multiple soundtracks for theatre as well as on a musical, but this is their first purely musical project together.

They have written, played all instruments, sung, produced, mixed and mastered all the songs themselves. The process has been experimental and associative, but keeps within the structure and melodic framework of catchy pop song. The three upcoming singles “Cocoon”, “Danger Is Beautiful” and “Love Generates Love” are leading up to an EP, release date 8th of may 2026.

For the visuals of this releases, they collaborated with the artist Stein Jarle Nielsen who shot their band photos, cover and SoMe material. His work is also featured in their promo-videos. Graphic designer Geir Henriksen at Blæst Design has done the cover.

Release party will be happening in Oslo at MIR on Valentine’s day14th of February 17.00- 19.00.
